Gillian is a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with over a decade of experience in both the NHS and private practice.

After qualifying from the University of the West of England, Bristol in 2004, Gillian began to work in the NHS in South Wales.

Her passion for Pelvic Health Physiotherapy was ignited when she worked a 6 month rotation in the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. This quickly led to a permanent position working alongside the team of Women's Health Physiotherapists in Cardiff & Vale University Health Board.

She continued her learning by obtaining a Master's degree qualification in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy from the University of Bradford in 2015.

In 2008, Gillian set up in private practice alongside her NHS role and following the growth of her business, she made the difficult decision to leave the NHS. In January 2017, Gillian aimed her focus on providing the best care possible for clients with pelvic health concerns within her private practice.

Gillian now works from her own base in the Victoria Park area of Cardiff, providing treatment for women during pregnancy, after childbirth and into the menopause.

"I have always loved helping people and this job lets me do what I love every day. I find this is a great priviledge which gives me a passion for my job. The area of pelvic health has been a taboo for so long but by providing a professional and sensitive environment, I hope to help those women who may otherwise suffer in silence. "

Jo Perkins: Mumma Physio

I am so excited to be welcoming Jo into the Physiotherapy for Women Clinic in Canton Cardiff from October 2019. After graduating in 2005 with a BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy, she has worked in the NHS, private clinics and gained extensive experience working in professional sport. She is also a keen runner and represented Wales in basketball.

Jo went on to gain a MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine in 2013.
